Hybride, a division of Ubisoft, is a Canadian visual effects studio based in Piedmont, Quebec. July 8, 2008.〕 ==History== Hybride was founded in 1991 and was the first studio in Quebec to specialize in digital visual effects. The company spent its first years creating visual effects for TV series, station ID’s as well as completing advertising spots for companies such as Air Canada, Coca Cola, CCM and Volkswagen. In 1997, Guillermo del Toro’s ''Mimic'' becomes the studio’s first project of international scope. Since then, the company has signed visual effects for over 60 motion pictures such as Jurassic World (film), Tomorrowland (film) (2015), Unbroken (film), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014 film), Pacific Rim, White House Down, The Hunger Games, James Cameron's Avatar, 300 and Sin City.〔 Hybride has contributed to Canadian / European co-productions such as Napoleon and Marie-Antoinette and has also contributed to Québécois productions including Seducing Dr. Lewis, Aurore, The Rocket, The Age of Innocence, and Christian Duguay's Jappeloup. The studio offers a range of services encompassing 3D animation, character animation, crowd simulation, SFX animation, compositing, green screen integration, set extensions, on set VFX supervision and VFX editing.
